Fueling a long training day
If you train more than once a day, or your sessions run past an hour, carbohydrate is the fuel that keeps you going. Most athletes get the first meal of the day right. Where they fall short is the second session, when the tank is already half empty.
The simple fix is to plan your fuel the way you plan your sets. Eat a real meal two to three hours before you train. Sip a carbohydrate drink during long sessions instead of waiting until you feel flat. Then refuel soon after, so the next workout doesn’t start in a hole.
That’s why we made Karbolyn: a carbohydrate fuel that’s easy on the stomach, so you can drink it during training without feeling heavy. Whatever you use, the rule is the same. Don’t wait until you’re empty to fill up.
